Psalm 91 promises protection over and over, yet faithful believers have still been speared, stoned, and swept away in storms. The psalm was never a guarantee against earthly suffering—it points past it, to a refuge no spear or grave can reach.

Moses asks God to teach us to number our days—not to make us anxious, but because a life that knows how short it is starts to live differently. Even the sons of Korah, who sang "better is one day in your house," ended up writing the saddest prayer in the Bible. If the most faithful can feel forgotten by God, the real question is what you do with that feeling—because the One who feels absent has promised He will never leave us nor forsake us.

"I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness." The sons of Korah found radical contentment at the doorstep their father was too proud to stand at. The question this Psalm forces on us is simple: what do you actually crave?

We crave God's blessings — but they were never meant to be the final goal. Psalm 67 reveals the reason God blesses His people, and it will change how you see everything He's given you.
